About Android App
Android is an Operating system developed by Android Inc in 2005 which was later bought by Google Inc and was finally unveiled in 2007. It is based on a modified version of the Linux Kernel and other open source software and designed mainly for touchscreen mobile devices like smartphones and Tablets. Today, Android TVs are also available in the market. Android based gaming consoles, digital cameras, personal computers, wrist watches etc.
ANDROID APP MODULES
A module is a collection of source files and settings that allow you to divide your project into discrete units of functionality. A project can have multiple modules depending on the project type. Each module can be independently built, tested, and debugged.
Android app modules provides a container for your app's source code, resource files, and app level settings such as the module-level build file and Android Manifest file.
