Java, developed in the mid-1990s by James A. Gosling with Sun Microsystems, in simple terms is a computer-programming language that is concurrent, class-based, and object- oriented. Installing java on your devices helps a lot of applications to function successfully. Java was built with a notion of “Write once, run everywhere”, abbreviated as WORA. This was built to reduce developers’ implementation dependencies. In Java applications, the compiled code (known as bytecode) that is done by a programmer runs on most operating systems (OS), including Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Java derives much of its syntax from the C and C++. Till date we have 10 different versions of java available, Java SE 10 (launched on March 20, 2018) being the latest version.
